Live jazz with a museum ticket! Turku Sea Jazz brings music to the museum spaces of the Forum Marinum Maritime Centre. Surprising 15-minute musical performances take place in Kruununmakasiini (the restaurant building) from 10 am to 12 noon and in Linnanpuomi (the museum shop building) from 1 pm to 3 pm.
The final festival day opens with woodwind specialist Max Zenger, known for his strong sound and distinctive way of combining jazz tradition with modern expression. One of the most sought-after musicians on the Finnish jazz scene, Zenger is known not only for his own groups Maxxxtet, Globus, and Freezer, but also for his work with the UMO Helsinki Jazz Orchestra. During the museum performances, audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the soft and surprising sonic world of Zenger’s bass clarinet.
