Turku Sea Jazz invites audiences to experience live jazz surrounded by maritime history
28.5.2026
For several years, Turku Sea Jazz has been closely connected to the maritime setting of Forum Marinum. Historic ships, museum spaces and the riverside atmosphere create a unique framework for the festival, and this summer the focus shifts even more strongly toward intimate and immersive live music experiences.
The popular museum musicians series returns once again, bringing leading Finnish jazz artists into the exhibition spaces between 29 July and 1 August. These short and surprising performances invite audiences to move through the museum and encounter jazz as part of the exhibitions themselves. On Thursday 30 July at 1 PM, the series also features the final concert of Jazz Camp for Girls.
Among the festival’s highlights are the concerts aboard Forum Marinum’s historic museum ships, where music and maritime history meet in exceptional surroundings. On Friday 31 July, Adele Sauros Quartet performs aboard Suomen Joutsen, where visitors can also enjoy the ship’s champagne bar. On Saturday 1 August, the historic merchant ship Sigyn hosts a concert by Héctor Lepe Quartet. As the world’s last surviving wooden ocean-going cargo ship of its kind, Sigyn offers a concert setting unlike any other. After the performance, audiences travel aboard the riverboat Aurella to Ruissalo Boatyard for a three-course Sea Jazz Dinner at Restaurant Tenlén.
Entry to the museum musician performances and the concert aboard Suomen Joutsen is included with a Forum Marinum museum ticket or Museum Card. Tickets for the Sigyn concert and dinner package are available at tiketti.fi/turkuseajazz.
