In Pauli Lyytinen’s innovative solo concert at the historic Seili Church, saxophones intertwine seamlessly with live electronics and field recordings. The works featured on Lehto / Korpi – winner of the 2024 Emma Award for Best Jazz Album – are rooted in Finnish nature and create a unified blend of indoor and outdoor soundscapes. Nightingales, cranes, swans, and other sounds familiar from the Finnish summer environment bring a unique character to the performance. The result is an arctic ambient sound tinged with mysticism, shifting from organically minimal textures to majestic sonic landscapes.

Pauli Lyytinen is a versatile, internationally active musician and composer whose work spans jazz, experimental, electroacoustic, and contemporary music. He is known for groups such as Pauli Lyytinen Rabbit Hole, Magnetia Orkesteri, and Elifantree. He has been developing his solo project since 2012.
