Turku Sea Jazz concert excursion to Seili Island now on sale!
19.3.2026
The urban yet maritime Turku Sea Jazz festival announces its first artists for the summer. The concert day on Seili Island on Thursday, July 30, 2026 will feature accordion artist Harri Kuusijärvi and guitarist Raoul Björkenheim’s ensemble POLYFREE. Tickets are now available via Tiketti.
The unique setting of Seili once again provides a memorable concert experience where music meets the archipelago landscape. During the day, audiences will enjoy two concerts that differ in character yet complement each other.
Performing in Seili Church, Harri Kuusijärvi presents music from his latest album Aallot as well as brand new, unreleased material. At the core of his expression is a self-developed electronically augmented accordion, whose rich and layered sound is especially highlighted by the church’s acoustics.
In the afternoon, Raoul Björkenheim POLYFREE performs in the garden of the main building. The group combines an intense groove, free improvisation, and strong rhythmic energy, with New York-based drummer Sam Ospovat and bassist Jori Huhtala joining Björkenheim. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to the church.
Between the concerts, visitors will have time to enjoy lunch on the island and explore Seili’s historic surroundings.
