Maja Mannila Trio

Maja Mannila is a compelling young singer, pianist and composer whose music brings together jazz, soul, R&B and gospel. Her English-language songs are marked by strong melodic instinct, a distinctive voice and an effortless way of combining genres into a sound that feels entirely her own. Freedom, joy and playfulness are also central to Mannila’s music and come across strongly in her live performances.

Already widely experienced on international stages, Mannila has toured with her trio across Europe and Japan, and has also performed as part of Iiro Rantala’s ensemble on Central European tours. At Turku Sea Jazz, the trio offers an energetic and warm-hearted set where sensitivity, groove and strong interplay flow naturally side by side.
